Welcome to Ponderosa Music!

Hello! I'm Mrs. Bannon and I'm your Ponderosa music teacher. Even though music class looks really different this year, we're still going to have a lot of fun making music together.

We can't sing, but we can listen to music, move to it, play instruments safely, chant with our speaking voices, play games, and learn about music history.

I can't wait to see you in music class! Ask your teacher when your two-week rotation is coming up!

K-2 Songs
That's a Mighty Pretty Motion
That's a mighty pretty motion, dee-di-dee,
That's a mighty pretty motion, dee-di-dee,
That's a mighty pretty motion, dee-di-dee,
Rise, sugar, rise!

Bee, Bee Bumblebee
Bee, bee bumblebee,
Stung a man upon his knee,
Stung a pig upon the snout,
I declare that you are out!

Old King Glory
Old King Glory on the mountain,
The mountain was so high,
It nearly touched the sky.
And the 1st one, the 2nd one, the 3rd one follow me!

Lucy Locket
Lucy Locket lost her pocket,
Kitty Fisher found it.
Not a penny was there in it,
Only ribbon 'round it.

Bate, Bate
Bate, bate chocolate
Con arroz y con tomate.
Uno, dos, tres - cho,
Uno, dos, tres - co,
Uno, dos, tres - la,
Uno, dos, tres - te,
Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!

3-5 Songs
Tarzan the Monkey Man

Tarzan the monkey man,
Swinging from a rubber band.
Splish, splash, take a bath,
The color is what?

Our Old Sow
Our old sow is getting very fat,
Kimo, komo, keemo,
Three-foot-two across the back,
Kimo, komo, keemo,
Hand me down my watch and chain,
Kimo, komo, keemo,
Goin' to see my Sarah Jane,
Kimo, komo, keemo.

Rabbit and the Possum
Rabbit and the Possum goin' up the hill,
Rabbit knew that Possum had a forty dollar bill.
Rabbit said, "Possum, let's play Seven Up."
Rabbit grabbed the money, but he's scared to pick it up.
Rabbit hit the Possum, Possum fell.
Rabbit grabbed the money and said,
"Fare ye well, fare ye well, fare ye well."

Bickle Bockle
Bickle Bockle, blue bottle,
Fishes in the sea.
If you want a partner,
Just choose me!
