 I will be checking my email and voicemail throughout the day, Monday-Friday.  Students and families can reach me by any of these methods.  If you are calling to leave a message, please be sure to say who is calling and leave the best number to call back.  You can also email me to set up a specific time to talk by phone or on Zoom.  Please note that when I do call it will show up as "Private Caller” or “Restricted” or “No Caller ID” depending on the type of phone you are calling on.

I will try to respond as quick and as much as possible.  Please be patience as I teach K-5th grades (that's 400+ students) and I will be receiving many voicemails and emails.

Welcome back to P.E. at home with Mrs. Weeks!   Please remember that your assignments will be posted in SeeSaw for K-2nd students and Schoology for 3rd-5th students.  I will post links to this page for use during Remote Learning Lessons.  Feel free to do any of the activities on this page when you want some extra physical activity.  Don't forget to try to get your whole family involved.  Staying healthy and strong is for ALL!!!  If you don't see an activity you were looking for, check out the bottom of this page for my archived lesson link.  It will take you to activities we did during Remote Learning last year.

Tabata Workouts
Tabata training is one of the most popular forms of high-intensity interval training(HIIT). It consists of eight rounds of ultra-high-intensity exercises in a specific 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off interval.  We have been learning about Tabata Workouts K-5th grades during P.E.  Here are some links to Tabata Workouts we have used in class.

The video links below are a selection of wonderful warm-up activities to get your bodies ready for physical activity.  Remember that it is important to properly warm your muscles up before doing any physical activity to prevent injury.

Stretching 

The video links below are a great selection of stretches that will help your whole body feel flexible and relaxed. Stretching is great to perform in the morning when you get up, after any physical activity or just as a calming activity on its own.

K-2nd Grades Locomotor Movement Practice

Locomotor movements are those that incorporate traveling from one point to another. Locomotor movement examples are: jogging, running, hopping, jumping, skipping, galloping, sliding, marching, crawling and leaping.  Below are some links to songs we have used to practice these movements in class.
